Abstract: The present invention relates to an adaptive battery management system for electric vehicles. The system comprises a battery pack having a plurality of rechargeable cells, cell monitoring units, a pack sensing unit, an adaptive battery control unit, a dynamic cell balancing circuit, a thermal regulation interface, a charging control interface, and a vehicle communication module. The adaptive battery control unit receives real-time cell-level and pack-level parameters and determines battery states including state of charge, state of health, state of power, thermal condition, and usable capacity. Based on real-time and historical battery data, the system dynamically controls cell balancing, charging current, discharge power, regenerative braking acceptance, and thermal regulation. The system identifies abnormal cells, thermal deviations, imbalance conditions, charging stress, and electrical faults, and executes graded safety responses. The invention improves battery safety, charging efficiency, usable capacity, regenerative energy recovery, range reliability, and battery operating life in electric vehicles.
