MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611065566 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology on May 25, 2026, for An Adaptive Filtering Technique For Digital Communication Channels.
Inventors include Dr. Vartika Shukla; and Dr. Vijay Kumar Pandey.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: An adaptive filtering technique for digital communication channels is disclosed. The technique includes a received sample input module, input buffer, adaptive filter core, demodulator interface, reference generation module, error computation module, channel state estimator, coefficient update controller, and coefficient memory. Filter coefficients are updated according to error information and channel reliability metrics. The controller selects acquisition, tracking, or hold behavior to reduce distortion while limiting coefficient corruption during interference. The technique supports pilot assisted and decision directed receiver operation with fixed point compatible implementation.
