Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ADAPTIVE MOBILITY CANE WITH DYNAMIC GRIP ASSISTANCE The present disclosure discloses an adaptive mobility cane (50) with dynamic grip assistance. The cane (50) comprises a gripping subsystem (100) configured to provide adaptive grip assistance based on a user's grip strength and comprising a handle frame (101) forming a structural enclosure. An auxetic strap (102) to engage at least a portion of the user's hand. A plurality of force sensors (103, 104, 105) to detect a finger grip force and generate a corresponding grip-force signal. A control box (106) calculates a total grip force based on a weighted sum of individual finger forces and generates one or more actuation signals. A motor (108) configured to rotate in response to one or more actuation signals. A pulley (110) is mechanically coupled to an output shaft of the motor (108). A tensile member (112) wound around the pulley (110) and operatively connected to the auxetic strap (102).
