Abstract: An adaptive noise cancellation technique for digital receivers is disclosed. The system receives digitized receiver samples, conditions the samples, monitors noise characteristics, derives an observation signal, and generates an adaptive noise replica through a controlled estimator. An adaptation controller regulates coefficient updates according to disturbance state and signal reliability. A cancellation combiner subtracts the noise replica from a time aligned primary signal to provide a cleaned digital output for demodulation and decoding, thereby improving receiver performance under non-stationary noise conditions.
