The system includes a data acquisition module with the ability to receive real-time data from various sources, including electric vehicles, charging stations, and power grid infrastructure, as well as environmental data and energy pricing. This acquired data is fed into an AI decision-making algorithm using predictive analytics and reinforcement learning algorithms to predict forecast charging demand and optimise charging strategies. The invention provides low-latency, decentralized decision-making via edge computing and 5G communication, and a multi-agent architecture where electric vehicles and charging nodes are autonomous agents for collaborative decision-making. The system dynamically controls charging parameters such as charging time, powers, load balancing, and can integrate renewable energies, allow for bidirectional vehicle-to-grid (V2G), and support privacy-preserving federated learning. The invention provides an electric vehicle charging system with the ability to scale, efficiency, and intelligence, that contributes to grid stability and reduced energy costs, as well as a better user experience, over conventional electric vehicle charging systems.
