Abstract: An Al Based Aesthetic Shade Detection Device for Teeth and Maxillofacial Prosthesis ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an artificial intelligence (Al)-based SmartShade system for automated shade detection and prosthetic fabrication in dentistry and maxillofacial applications. The system comprises an image acquisition unit for capturing highresolution images of teeth, gingiva, and facial structures, and a processing unit configured to analyze the images using machine learning algorithms to generate precise color values in RGB and/or HSV formats. A multi-zone color map is created to represent anatomical variations and is directly integrated with a color-capable additive manufacturing system for accurate prosthesis fabrication. The invention enables a closed-loop workflow from image capture to fabrication, eliminating subjective shade selection and reducing dependency on manual laboratory procedures. The system improves reproducibility, enhances aesthetic outcomes, and reduces clinical turnaround time, providing a scalable and efficient solution for personalized prosthetic manufacturing.
