MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611058745 A) filed by Manipal University Jaipur on May 08, 2026, for An Ai-Enabled Smart Wearable For Continuous Breast Anomaly Detection.
Inventors include Niyati Gupta; Sumit Gupta; and Dr. Arpita Baronia.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an AI-enabled smart wearable system for continuous breast anomaly detection. The system comprises a wearable garment integrated with a smart textile embedded sensor grid, a thermal sensing module for detecting temperature variations, a bio-impedance electrode network for monitoring tissue conductivity, and a pressure or stiffness sensor layer for detecting tissue hardening. The system further includes a microcontroller processing unit for acquiring and preprocessing sensor data, and an artificial intelligence-based anomaly detection module for generating a personalized baseline and identifying deviations through temporal analysis. The system supports continuous monitoring during daily activities, incorporates Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connectivity, includes a rechargeable thin battery for power supply, and features a detachable electronics module to allow washing of the garment, thereby enabling convenient, real-time, and non-invasive health monitoring.
