The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ANHYDROUS UNIT-DOSE TOPICAL FORMULATION AND METHOD FOR EXTEMPORANEOUS PREPARATION OF A TOPICAL COMPOSITION The present invention relates to an anhydrous unit-dose topical formulation (100) comprising at least one dermatologically active ingredient (102), polymethylsilsesquioxane as a hydrophobic particulate carrier (104), a pre-neutralized cross-linked polyacrylate polymer (106) maintained in a substantially non- hydrated state, and sub-micron silica (108), wherein the components form a free-flowing particulate blend enclosed within a unit-dose capsule. The invention further provides a method (200) comprising opening (202) the capsule, dispensing (204) the particulate blend into 0.5 g to 2.0 g of a hydrophilic topical vehicle comprising an aqueous phase, an oil-in-water emulsion and/or at least one neutralizing agent, and manually mixing (206) the components for 2 to 30 seconds to obtain a substantially homogeneous topical composition. A topical compounding kit (300) further comprises the formulation (100) and a separate hydrophilic topical vehicle (302), thereby enabling convenient unit-dose storage, handling, and extemporaneous preparation of the topical composition. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
