Abstract: The invention relates to an antibacterial wound dressing having controlled drug release for localized wound therapy. The dressing includes a wound contact layer, diffusion regulating layer, drug loaded reservoir layer, exudate distribution layer, and outer protective backing layer. The reservoir stores an antibacterial drug in a biocompatible carrier and releases the drug through a regulated pathway toward the wound surface. The dressing manages exudate, reduces burst release, protects against contamination, and supports atraumatic removal while maintaining sustained antibacterial activity at the wound interface.
