MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611075449 A) filed by Ahuja, Suneet; and Ahuja, Priyansha on June 18, 2026, for An Apparatus For Controlled Thermal Treatment.

Inventors include Ahuja, Suneet; and Ahuja, Priyansha.

The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an apparatus (100) for controlled thermal treatment. The apparatus (100) forms an enclosed cooking chamber (104) between a hollow metallic body (102) and a base assembly (106) for receiving food items during operation. The base assembly (106) transfers thermal energy upwardly from an external heat source while an electric resistance heating element (202) radiates heat downwardly within the enclosed cooking chamber (104) for simultaneous dual-directional heating of food. The hollow metallic body (102) retains and re-radiates thermal energy to stabilize internal thermal conditions. The apparatus (100) achieves controlled dual-directional heating within the cooking chamber (104) by simultaneously applying conductive heat from the base assembly (106) and radiant heat from the electric resistance heating element (202), thereby improving thermal stability, reducing convective heat loss, enhancing energy efficiency, and enabling uniform puffing, browning, and heating of food items.
