Also disclosed is a method of preparing the artificial construct and applications of the 5 artificial construct. The artificial construct, according to present disclosure, includes a hydrogel scaffold and cells seeded on the hydrogel scaffold, wherein the hydrogel scaffold is embedded with at least one cell type. Also disclosed is an in vitro model having the artificial construct.
