The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: At present, the existing driver monitoring techniques often exhibit reduced reliability in detecting driver distraction and drowsiness under varying driving conditions. To overcome this limitation, the present disclosure provides a computer-implemented method and a real-time driver behaviour monitoring system (200) comprising an image acquisition module (202) configured to acquire image frames of a driver, a processing module (204) configured to preprocess the image frames, a behaviour analysis module (206) configured to establish driver-specific baseline facial parameters through adaptive calibration, extract facial landmarks, determine behavioural attributes, and detect distracting objects, a decision engine (208) configured to generate a driver attentiveness state based on the behavioural attributes, detected objects, baseline facial parameters, and vehicle operating conditions, and an alert management module (210) configured to generate alerts indicative of driver distraction or drowsiness.
