Abstract: ABSTRACT: TITLE: An assistive system for visually impaired and method thereof The present invention relates to an assistive system for visually impaired persons implemented as a wearable smart cap configured to provide real-time environmental awareness through auditory feedback. The system comprises a camera module, a processing unit, a face recognition module, a text recognition module, an object recognition module, a voice assistant module, an audio prioritization engine, a text-to-speech conversion module, and an audio output device. The camera continuously captures images and video frames, which are processed locally without requiring continuous internet connectivity. The face recognition module identifies known individuals and registers new faces, the text recognition module extracts textual information using optical character recognition, and the object recognition module detects and classifies surrounding objects. The recognition modules operate automatically and simultaneously, while the audio prioritization engine manages outputs to prevent overlapping speech responses. The processed information is converted into speech and communicated to the user, thereby improving accessibility, navigation, safety, and independence for visually impaired individuals.
