MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621059837 A) filed by Imran Malek; and Hujefa Aliasgar Vohra on May 11, 2026, for An Automated Apparatus For Preparing Dough-Based Food Items And Method Of Operating The Same.

Inventors include Imran Malek; and Hujefa Aliasgar Vohra.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure proposes an automated apparatus (100) for preparing dough-based food items within a single integrated system. The automated apparatus (100) comprises a housing (102), a support member (104) configured to receive a dough-based substrate (10), a sauce dispensing subsystem (106), a cheese dispensing subsystem (108), a topping dispensing assembly (110), and a baking subsystem (112). The sauce dispensing subsystem (106) dispenses sauce in a recipe-defined dispensing pattern, followed by controlled dispensing of cheese and toppings. The baking subsystem (112) receives the dough-based substrate (10) and bakes to produce a dough-based food item. A control unit (114) having a programmable logic controller (116) executes a sensor-free, time-sequenced control program based on a selected recipe using recipe-defined timing parameters, thereby enabling hygienic, consistent, and repeatable dough-based substrate preparation in compact commercial food service environments.
