The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: A self-lacing footwear system having an integrated self-charging mechanism is disclosed. The system comprises an upper and a sole, a lace-tightening mechanism housed in the footwear and including a bidirectional gear motor coupled to a first spool and a second spool for independently tightening and loosening front and rear lacing, and a rechargeable battery and power management circuit for powering the gear motor. The footwear further comprises a piezoelectric generator disposed at pressure-bearing locations of the sole for converting footstep pressure into electrical energy, and a pressure-actuated micro-generator comprising a spring-biased shaft coupled through a gear train to a generator motor. An inertial generator, comprising a weighted pivoting sector gear coupled to a generator motor, is disposed at a flexing region of the footwear and converts motion-induced energy into electrical energy. Rectified outputs of the generators charge the battery, which powers the lace- tightening mechanism through switch-operated control, without external charging. Representative Figure: FIG. 1
