Abstract: The present disclosure proposes an automated rear-view mirror protection and defogging system (100) comprising a mirror housing assembly (102), a swing arm actuation unit (108), a primary rotational support arm (112), a secondary extension support arm (114), a first segment gear member (116), a second segment gear member (118), a protective mirror cover assembly (128), an airflow distribution conduit (142), an airflow generation chamber (148), an airflow generation unit (150), an airflow impeller assembly (152), and a thermal airflow heating element (154). The swing arm actuation unit (108) and the segment gear members (116, 118) provide synchronized deployment and retraction of the protective mirror cover assembly (128). The airflow generation unit (150) and the thermal airflow heating element (154) generate heated airflow toward a reflective mirror surface (10) for reducing fog, mist, moisture, and rainwater accumulation.
