MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611072991 A) filed by Suresh Gyan Vihar University on June 12, 2026, for An Automated Seed Sorting Machine For High Efficiency Agricultural Operations.
Inventors include Dr. Gaurav Sharma; and Dr. Ajeet Singh Shekhawat.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: An automated seed sorting machine (100) for high-efficiency agricultural operations is disclosed. The machine comprises a seed hopper (104), vibratory feeder (106), conveyor assembly (108), imaging chamber (110), sensor array (112), processing unit (114), sorting actuator assembly (116), and collection bins (118A-118D). High- resolution cameras (126) and sensors analyze seed characteristics, while a machine learning classifier (144) determines seed quality. The sorting actuator assembly (116) automatically segregates seeds into designated categories. The invention provides enhanced sorting accuracy, throughput, seed purity, defect detection, and operational efficiency for agricultural seed processing applications.
