Abstract: AN AUTOMATED SYRINGE BASED CELL BANKING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR SAME The present disclosure relates to cell banking apparatus and method for same. An automated syringe-based cell banking apparatus (100) includes a mechanical drive assembly (106), a syringe holder module accommodating one or more syringes (112) each having a barrel and a plunger (114), a main tube (124) configured to connect to a source solution container (122), and distributor tubes (128) fluidly connecting the main tube (124) to each syringe barrel, forming a fluid path. At least one lifter (108) carried by the mechanical drive assembly (106) engages the plunger (114) of a corresponding syringe (112). The mechanical drive assembly (106) controllably retracts the lifter (108) to draw the plungers (114), generating negative pressure within the barrels and drawing solution into the syringes (112). The apparatus reduces manual handling, improves fill volume accuracy, and enables direct plunger-push transfer during revival.
