Abstract: ABSTRACT AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR PLOUGHING TIME MEASUREMENT, COST ESTIMATION AND REAL-TIME MONITORING IN TRACTORS The present invention discloses an automated system for ploughing time measurement, cost estimation, and real-time monitoring in agricultural operations. The system comprises an RPM sensor for detecting engine status, Hall Effect sensors for monitoring wheel movement, a proximity sensor for identifying plough position, a load sensor for verifying soil engagement, a fuel sensor for measuring fuel consumption, a GPS module for location and distance tracking, a microcontroller-based processing unit, a data storage unit, a communication module, and a display interface. The system uniquely determines actual ploughing activity only when the engine is running, the tractor is moving, and the plough is engaged with the soil. Effective working time is calculated exclusively during such verified conditions, while non- working activities including turning, reversing, transportation, idle operation, and plough lifting are automatically excluded. The communication module transmits real- time or session-based operational data to both farmers and tractor owners through wireless communication networks, ensuring transparency and accurate billing. The present invention eliminates the need of manual intervention to measure the parameters in an effective manner.
