Abstract: ABSTRACT AN AUTONOMOUS TOUR GUIDE SYSTEM WITH HYBRID INDOOR-OUTDOOR LOCALIZATION AND ARTIFICIAL-INTELLIGENCE- DRIVEN CONTENT DELIVERY An autonomous tour guide system (102) for hybrid indoor-outdoor visitor guidance, comprising a mobile computing device incorporating a GPS receiver, a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) radio, a three-axis accelerometer, a three-axis gyroscope, and a three-axis magnetometer; a plurality of BLE beacons deployed within an indoor venue; and a processor configured to maintain a normalized evidence score computed from weighted contributions of GPS positional accuracy degradation and BLE advertisement signal strength and to enforce a three-state finite state machine having an outdoor state, a transitioning state, and an indoor state with defined entry-gate and exit-gate conditions, to poll GPS coordinates and query a points-of-interest database within a configurable geofence radius in the outdoor state, to provide continuous drift-corrected position estimation in the indoor state by fusing BLE proximity detection, IMU-based pedestrian dead reckoning, and a particle filter, to determine a current floor from aggregated per-floor RSSI density scores subject to a temporal confirmation buffer, and to deliver dynamic grounded exhibit narratives through a multi-layer Retrieval-Augmented Generation pipeline.
