MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641086703 A) filed by Roowx; and Selva Ganesh S on July 15, 2026, for An Eco-Restorative Seed Wing-Based Aerial Seed Dispersal System Using Controlled Glider Deployment.
Inventor includes Selva Ganesh S.
The application for the patent was published on July 17, 2026, under issue no. 29/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure proposes an eco-restorative aerial seed dispersal system (100) for controlled glider-based deployment of seeds. The eco-restorative aerial seed dispersal system (100) comprises a launcher (102), a glider container (104), and plurality of seed gliders (106). The launcher (102) elevates the glider container (104) to an aerial deployment height, where the seed gliders (106) are released for passive aerodynamic descent. Each seed glider (106) includes a biodegradable paper carrier (108) having an aerodynamic wing-shaped body (110), a seed-retaining portion (112), and a moisture-absorbent biodegradable paper enclosure (114). The aerodynamic wing-shaped body (110) reduces descent velocity and impact force, while the biodegradable paper enclosure (114) absorbs dew, atmospheric humidity, rainfall, or environmental moisture after landing and transfers moisture to the enclosed seeds for natural germination. The eco-restorative aerial seed dispersal system (100) supports ecological restoration, afforestation, seed protection, and low-water germination.
