Abstract: A technical system and method for predictive resource depletion and risk-aware cargo allocation in polar expeditions is disclosed. The system acquires resource-state parameters, expedition telemetry, environmental parameters and location information through distributed sensing and telemetry units. A predictive depletion engine determines resource consumption and predicted time-to-exhaustion. An environmental risk engine determines a time-dependent environmental risk associated with cargo transportation. A cargo priority engine generates a risk-weighted cargo priority index using predicted resource depletion, environmental risk and cargo characteristics. A constraint-based allocation engine generates an ordered cargo allocation sequence subject to payload, resource reserve, transportation, destination and environmental constraints. The system automatically regenerates the allocation sequence when resource, environmental or transportation conditions change. An edge computing unit enables continued operation during communication interruption and synchronizes the expedition state when communication is restored.
