Abstract: The present invention provides an edge-intelligent distributed hardware architecture for preventive environmental monitoring and hazard detection with reduced false positives, low-latency response, and autonomous operation independent of continuous cloud connectivity. The architecture comprises remote sensing nodes having temperature, humidity, and gas sensors, a compact payload generation module, a sub-GHz LoRa communication interface, and an edge gateway having a microcontroller, memory, temporal buffering module, and probabilistic fusion engine. The gateway performs localized multi-sensor fusion, weighted normalization, and sliding-window analysis to distinguish actual hazard conditions from transient environmental disturbances and generate classified hazard outputs with autonomous alarm activation. Compact payload transmission reduces power consumption and extends battery life of the sensing nodes. Only validated anomaly data is transmitted to a cloud monitoring platform for archival monitoring, reduced bandwidth utilization, and long-range environmental surveillance with integrated remote diagnostics.
