Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a thermographic cyber-physical attestation apparatus (100) for validating digital telemetry associated with an electrical distribution transformer (200). The apparatus (100) includes an external enclosure (101) positioned with optical access to a transformer casing or thermal region of interest (210) while remaining electrically isolated from a power circuit of the transformer (200). An infrared thermal sensing unit (110) captures a thermal profile of the transformer (200), and an environmental compensation unit (120) generates environmental data corresponding to external environmental conditions (500). An edge cyber-physical validation controller (140) determines a physical load estimate using a transformer-specific thermal-load model unit (150). A read-only digital telemetry acquisition unit (160) receives reported transformer load telemetry from a digital load telemetry source (310) associated with a primary SCADA/control network (300). The controller (140) compares the physical load estimate with the reported telemetry and causes an out-of-band communication unit (170) to transmit a cyber-physical mismatch alert to an out-of-band alert receiver (400) when a calibrated mismatch condition is satisfied.
