Abstract: AN ELECTRONIC APPARATUS WITH THERMAL PROTECTION The present subject matter relates to an electronic apparatus (100) that includes a housing (102a; 102b) defining an interior space (104), at least one electronic component (106) disposed within the interior space (104) of the housing (102a; 102b), and a fire retardant assembly (108) positioned within the interior space (104) of the housing (102a; 102b). The fire retardant assembly (108) includes a flexible tubular member (112) formed from a first material; and a fire retardant material (110) disposed within the flexible tubular member (112). The fire retardant assembly (108) is configured to release the fire retardant material (110) upon exposure to a predetermined temperature, thereby mitigating the spread of fire within the interior space (104) of the housing (102a; 102b).
