Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic surface cleaning apparatus (1) configured to assess the condition of a target surface and selectively apply a treatment fluid. The apparatus (1) comprises a housing having a hand-engageable portion (1a), a sensing module (11) including one or more ultraviolet sensing modules (13a, 13b, 13c), an optical sensing module (15), and an infrared thermal sensing module (14), a control unit (21) operatively coupled to the sensing module (11), an indication module (31) and a fluid dispensing assembly (41) comprising a fluid reservoir (43), a pump (44), a nozzle (42), and an actuation mechanism (45). The control unit (21) analyses and correlates sensing data to determine surface condition parameters and communicates the determined condition to a user. Based on the determined surface condition and/or user input, the fluid dispensing assembly (41) selectively dispenses a treatment fluid onto the target surface for monitoring and treatment thereof.
