Abstract: ABSTRACT “AN ELEPHANT DETECTION AND DETERRENCE SYSTEM AND A PROCESS THEREOF” The present invention relates to an elephant detection and deterrence system and a process thereof for preventing human-elephant conflict in forest-bordering regions. The system comprises thermal, acoustic, and seismic sensing modules integrated with an edge-based artificial intelligence processor configured for multimodal sensor fusion, elephant detection, and behavioral classification. A GCC-PHAT synchronization algorithm aligns asynchronous sensor data without external clock synchronization. A lightweight convolutional neural network classifies elephant presence and behavior including calm movement, feeding, aggression, and group movement. Based on detected behavior and proximity, the system activates adaptive non-harmful deterrents including ultrasonic emitters, flashing lights, chili-smoke release systems, and drone buzzing mechanisms. The system further includes predictive geofencing using graph neural network analysis and operates autonomously using solar power, LoRaWAN, and GSM communication for real-time alerts and continuous offline deployment.
