Abstract: ABSTRACT AN ERGONOMIC DUAL-FUNCTION SURMADANI APPLICATOR WITH INTERCHANGEABLE BRUSH AND STICK FOR KOHL APPLICATION The present invention discloses an ergonomic dual-function Surmadani applicator assembly (100) for safe and precise powdered kohl application. The assembly integrates, within a vertically symmetric decorative brass container body (110), a rigid kajalshalaka applicator stick (130) and a soft horsehair brush applicator (140) with a flat angular brush head (142). A multi-functional lid sub-assembly (120) sealingly engages a threaded neck portion (114), receives the rigid stick (130) within an internal hollow stem (122) by friction fit, and detachably mounts the brush applicator (140) at a distal brush mounting interface (128). The dual application modes accommodate expert users familiar with traditional rigid-stick technique and novice users preferring soft natural-bristle brush precision and ocular safety. The assembly preserves the cultural identity of the traditional Indian Surmadani while improving ergonomics, safety, and component replaceability. The replaceable brush head and refillable kohl reservoir support circular economy principles and reduce single-use cosmetic packaging waste. [
