Abstract: An extended release pharmaceutical suspension system for chronic disease management is disclosed. The system comprises drug containing cores coated with a seal layer, a release controlling polymer layer, and an outer compatibility layer, dispersed in a structured liquid vehicle containing a suspending network and taste masking phase. The composition provides redispersible storage stability, reduced drug leaching, acceptable oral administration properties, and prolonged drug release after ingestion. The system is adaptable to different active ingredients by modifying core composition, coating parameters, and vehicle characteristics.
