Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an imaging system 100 comprising a camera which further comprises at least an image sensor 138, a primary lens 134, a plurality of secondary lens 104, 106, 108, 110, 112 and a plurality of smart shutters. The primary lens 134 is configured to redirect light received towards the image sensor 138. The plurality of secondary lenses 104, 106, 108, 110, 112 is positioned to cover a field of view (FOV) corresponding to a specific portion of the scene. The primary lens 134 is configured to redirect the light received from at least one secondary lens of the plurality of secondary lenses 104, 106, 108, 110, 112 towards the image sensor 138. The plurality of smart shutters 124, 126, 128, 130, 132 is configured to control and coordinate the light entering the primary lens 134 to enable capturing of light from all portions of the scene received through the plurality of secondary lenses 104, 106, 108, 110, 112 to obtain a wide-angle image.
