MUMBAI, India, Aug. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611076355 A) filed by Noida Institute Of Engineering & Technology on June 19, 2026, for An Impact-Responsive Sealing Apparatus For Electric Vehicle Battery Packs.
Inventors include Sudhir Singh; and Shiv Narayan Prajapati.
The application for the patent was published on August 07, 2026, under issue no. 32/2026.
Abstract: An impact-responsive sealing apparatus for electric vehicle battery packs is disclosed. The apparatus includes a battery pack enclosure (101), impact receiving member (102), threshold latch (103), sealing reservoir (104), guide channel (105), movable closure member (106), vent interface (107), cable passage interface (108), coolant fitting interface (109), and diagnostic indicator (110). Upon impact-induced deformation exceeding a predetermined threshold, the latch releases sealing material or closure movement toward vulnerable pack interfaces. The apparatus provides localized post-impact sealing while permitting ordinary pre-impact battery pack operation.
