MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611109943 A) filed by Niranjan Debnath on September 14, 2026, for An Improved Home Parking Lighting With Energy Saving.

Inventor includes Niranjan Debnath.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The proposed device incorporates an auto-disconnect mechanism that energizes the control circuit and input supply is connected to the transformer only when activated during vehicle entry. Upon activation [via a push to ON (no latch) DPDT switch ], the circuit powers on. turns on the illumination, runs the 555 monostable timer for 10-15 minutes (say), and then automatically disconnects its mvn input supply. Once the timer cycle expires, the device completely isolates itself from the mains power line, reducing quiescent current draw to zero during the standby. Operating at a 1% duty cycle extends the effective lifespan of the transformer, 555 timer, and associated active components by approximately 99%. The suggested device is cheaper than the presently available one and also save energy. Key words: Push to ON (no latch) DPDT switch, Transformer, filter capacitor. 555 timer IC, relay (SPOT type)
