Abstract: An improved ophthalmic gel for prolonged drug retention is disclosed. The formulation is dispensed as a flowable drop and forms a soft ocular retention zone after contact with tear fluid. The polymeric matrix reduces rapid drainage, controls drug diffusion, and supports sustained ocular exposure while maintaining clarity, comfort, sterility, and compatibility with ophthalmic containers.
