Abstract: The present invention relates to an industrial hydro-thermochemical process for producing detoxified ruminant fodder from high- inclusion Prosopis juliflora biomass, optionally with bamboo biomass. The process comprises size-reducing dried biomass to 2 mm to 10 mm, treating the biomass in a hydrothermal reactor at 80°C to 150°C and 0 to 5 psi pressure, and introducing an ionic catalytic matrix comprising a nitrogen-donor component, an alkaline dissociation agent, and a halide salt ionic catalyst. The treatment disrupts lignin-carbohydrate complexes and leaches soluble alkaloids into a liquid fraction. The liquid fraction is removed by mechanical phase separation, followed by warm-water rinsing of the solid biomass fraction. The rinsed biomass is fermented using thermophilic/mesophilic lactic acid bacteria at 34°C to 55°C for 4 to 8 hours and finally subjected to nixtamalization-centered pH stabilization. The process provides a detoxified, digestible, storage-stable supplementary fodder suitable for ruminants. (Accompanied Figure No. 1)
