This thin film has a large surface area, controlled pore sizes, and .specific surface chemistry that helps extract microplastics through processes like adsorption, sieving, and interfacial interaction. The thin film system is designed to fit into current water treatment facilities and offers better filtration efficiency than traditional methods. Under similar circumstances, the system exhibits microplastic removal efficiency that surpass those of traditional filtering systems. Multiple reuse cycles with no performance loss are made possible by the regenerable thin film. which lowers operating expenses. As a result, the technology helps with sustainable environmental restoration and better water quality.
