MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611116381 A) filed by Chandigarh University on September 29, 2026, for An Integrated Document Processing Apparatus For Automated Data Extraction And Form Generation.
Inventors include Kiran Kri; and Harish M.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an integrated document processing apparatus (100) for automated data extraction and form generation. The apparatus (100) captures a physical document through a document capture unit (101), extracts and interprets information using an OCR module (102A), NLP module (102B), and NER module (102C), and maps the identified information to corresponding fields of a digital service form through an intelligent form mapping and generation module (105). An authentication module (104) determines a user authentication level, while a user interface (103) enables review and correction of the generated form. The apparatus further provides secure data storage (106), network communication (107), and receipt generation through a thermal receipt printer (108), thereby reducing manual data entry and enabling automated self-service document processing.
