The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT AN INTEGRATED NON-CONDUCTIVE SMART LOW TENSION DISTRIBUTION BOX WITH MULTI-PARAMETER IoT MONITORING, PREDICTIVE THERMAL FAULT DETECTION AND CURRENT DIFFERENTIAL BYPASS DETECTION Disclosed is a Smart Low Tension Distribution Box (100) for installation at the secondary terminal of a distribution transformer of up to at least 500 kVA capacity, comprising a non-conductive FRP/SMC enclosure certified to IS 14772:2020, an incoming protection device (102) rated 100A–1000A, a plurality of individually discriminated outgoing feeder protection devices (104- 1...104-n) numbering two to twelve and scaled to the transformer capacity, a multi-parameter sensor array measuring three-phase voltage, current, power factor, energy, busbar-joint temperature, earth leakage current and door status, a battery-backed tamper-detection circuit, a non-volatile event-log memory, a wireless communication module (122) supporting GSM/4G-LTE, NB-IoT, LoRaWAN and/or Wi-Fi with dual-SIM failover and TLS/SSL encryption, and a data processing unit (120) supporting MQTT, Modbus TCP and/or DLMS/COSEM, assembled as a single type-tested unit. Also disclosed are a busbar thermal-differential method for predictive fault detection and a current-differential method for detecting unauthorised bypass, each executable by the said data processing unit using the said sensor array and communication module.
