Abstract: This present invention introduces integrated Green Human Resource Management (GHRM) approach for enhancing employee job performance through sustainability oriented workforce management and behavioural mediation. Employee engagement, employee motivation and organisational commitment are also included as mediating variables between the two sets of variables, namely the input variables (workforce productivity factors) and output variables (organisational performance outcomes). The invention outlines a structured assessment for sustainability-oriented HR interventions and employees' behavioural consequences with measurable organisational indicators. The framework allows organizations to measure direct and indirect effects of GHRM practices on employee performance and contributes to the environmental governance efforts. In an implementation, the invention may form part of an enterprise human resource analytics systems to track levels of participation in sustainability, behaviours, behaviour engagement levels, employee motivation patterns, indicators of organisational commitment, and productivity metrics of employees in the organisation. By highlighting the behavioral aspects which boost their employee's performance and sustainability alignment, the invention goes a long way in supporting predictive organisational analysis. The proposed framework offers benefits such as greater employee engagement, greater commitment to the organisation, better retention rates, greater productivity in the workplace and better incorporation of sustainability principles into organisational practices. The invention can be used in all those environments in which the organisation is concerned about the sustainable management of employees and/or the optimisation of employee performance, including manufacturing, service, healthcare, education, public administration and corporate businesses. The invention thus provides a human resource management system for achieving organisational effectiveness and environmental responsibility simultaneously and which is scalable and measurable in terms of its sustainability.
