Abstract: Diabetes mellitus is a chronic metabolic disorder that requires continuous monitoring and early diagnosis to prevent severe complications. Conventional blood glucose monitoring methods rely on invasive finger-prick techniques, which are painful, inconvenient, and unsuitable forrn frequent use. To address these limitations, this paper presents an IoT- and AI-integrated non-invasive glucose monitoring and diabetes prediction system using infrared (IR) sensing technology. The proposed system employs an IR sensor for non-invasive glucose-related signal acquisition, a Node MCU ESP8266 for real-time data processing and wireless transmission, and a MATLAB-based artificial intelligence model for diabetes prediction. A feed forward neural network (FNN) is developed using clinically relevant health parameters, including glucose level, BMI, blood pressure, insulin, and age. The processed results are displayed locally and transmitted to the Thing Speak cloud platform for remote monitoring and analysis. Experimental evaluation demonstrates that the proposed system achieves reliable real-time operation with an overall prediction accuracy of 80%, while offering a painless, cost-effective, and user-friendly alternative to conventional glucose monitoring methods. The integration of IoT connectivity and AI- driven analytics makes the system suitable for smart healthcare applications, remote patient monitoring, and early diabetes risk assessment.
