Abstract: [053] The present invention relates to an intelligent multimodal system for identification and classification of medicinal plants. The system comprises an input acquisition module, preprocessing module, plant organ segmentation module, morphological feature extraction module, spectral and color feature processing module, medicinal plant classification engine, reference database, confidence scoring module, and explainable output generation module. The system receives plant images, organ-specific inputs, spectral data, geographical information, seasonal data, and user-entered botanical observations. The system segments relevant plant organs, extracts morphological and spectral features, compares the extracted features with authenticated medicinal plant reference records, and generates a ranked identification output with medicinal classification. The system further provides confidence scores, similarity warnings for look-alike species, adulteration indicators, and explainable highlighted features responsible for the classification. The invention improves technical reliability in medicinal plant identification and supports field, laboratory, nursery, research, and herbal quality-control applications.
