Abstract: This project focuses on developing an intelligent and reliable PLC Based Power Source and Load Management System for automatic control of electrical power distribution. The system is designed to monitor the availability of EB mains supply and Diesel Generator (DG) and perform automatic source switching during power failure and restoration conditions. It also manages connected electrical loads based on priority control, ensuring that only essential loads operate during DG mode to prevent generator overloading. The system includes relay and contactor-based switching mechanisms, along with indicator lamps and mobile monitoring support for clear status indication and easy user interaction. The control logic is implemented using a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) to improve system safety, reliability, and response time. The design emphasizes automation, uninterrupted power supply, and reduced manual intervention in industrial and commercial environments. It also provides a practical and cost-effective solution for efficient power utilization and backup management. The system continuously monitors source and load conditions, allowing quick and safe operation under varying power conditions. It is suitable for use in small industries, commercial buildings, and smart power control applications, achieving an effective balance between automation, safety, and operational efficiency.
