Abstract: The present invention relates to an interdental cleaning device(100). The present invention includes a handle portion(102) and a cleaning tip(104). The handle portion (102) being ergonomically configured to provide enhanced grip and prevent slippage during use. The cleaning tip (104) is connected to the handle portion (102). The cleaning tip (104) is configured to exhibit controlled flexibility during insertion into interdental spaces so as to prevent penetration injury to gingival tissue under applied force. The cleaning tip (104) having a zig-zag edge (106) and a micro-textured surface (108). The zig-zag edge (106) comprises a plurality of angled projections arranged in the range of 30°–60°. The micro-textured surface (108) configured to increase frictional interaction with plaque and debris from between teeth. The cleaning tip (104) is tapered towards a distal end to facilitate insertion into interdental space. The device (100) enables multi-directional cleaning, enhanced plaque removal, and reduced gingival trauma.
