Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE PATENT: This disclosure relates to a vibrotactile mobile device which induces a tactile sense at various positions ENT OFFICE CHENNAI 17 / 0 7 in an interface method of operating the mobile device so that a user may intuitively interact with the mobile device while seeing a program execution status, and to a method of driving the vibrotactile mobile device. The method of driving the vibrotactile mobile device includes: providing a user interface for inputting a command signal on a screen operated in accordance with a program; 5 calculating a target vibration position and a direction and a speed of a vibration flow with time so as to recognize a trajectory of the command signal displayed on the screen and supply a vibration stimulus corresponding to the trajectory of the command signal; and driving the vibration module by controlling a supply of power to be applied to vibration modules based on the calculated result. COMMENTS: 10 The prior art primarily focuses on providing localized vibrotactile feedback for mobile devices and improving user interaction through vibration control. It does not address vehicle accident detection, emergency communication, or road safety applications. In contrast, the proposed GuardianGrid system integrates shock and tilt sensors for dual- sensor accident verification, GPS for real-time location tracking, GSM for automatic emergency SMS transmission, and a false alarm prevention 15 mechanism using a buzzer and cancel button. The invention provides an intelligent, low-cost loTbased vehicle safety solution that significantly reduces emergency response time and enhances accident management, making it technically distinct from the cited prior art.. Patent Number: EP3047466A1 Title: Smart device for use with an electronic key Country: EUROPE Date of Filing: 2017-08-23 20 ABSTRACT OF THE PATENT: A merchandise security system for protecting an item of merchandise from theft. The merchandise security system comprises a smart device and an electronic key coupled to the smart device. The electronic key is configured to communicate with a merchandise security device for operating a merchandise security device.. 25 COMMENTS: PATENT OFFICE CHENN 6 The prior art is primarily intended for protecting merchandise using an electronic key and smart security device. It focuses on theft prevention and access control rather than vehicle safety or emergency response. The proposed GuardianGrid invention is technically different as it automatically detects road accidents using shock and tilt sensors, determines the accident location through GPS, and 5 transmits emergency alerts via GSM without requiring user intervention. It also incorporates a false alarm prevention mechanism with a buzzer and cancel button, providing a practical loT-based vehicle safety solution that improves emergency response and road safety.. ABSTRACT OF THE PATENT: This disclosure relates to a vibrotactile mobile device win= induces a tacuie sense at various pOSILIWIS in an interface method of operating the mobile device so that a user may intuitively interact with the mobile device while seeing a program execution status, and to a method of driving the vibrotactile 15 mobile device. The method of driving the vibrotactile mobile device includes: providing a user interface for inputting a command signal on a screen operated in accordance with a program; calculating a target vibration position and a direction and a speed of a vibration flow with time so as to recognize a trajectory of the command signal displayed on the screen and supply a vibration stimulus corresponding to the trajectory of the command signal; and driving the vibration module by controlling 20 a supply of power to be applied to vibration modules based on the calculated result. ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION TITLE: AN IoT BASED AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY RESPONSE SYSTEM FOR VEHICLES(GUARDIANGRID) The present invention relates to an toT-Based Automatic Emergency Response System for Vehicles (GuardianGrid) (200) configured to automatically detect road accidents and transmit emergency notifications with real-time vehicle location. The proposed system comprises at least one Shock Sensor (201) configured to detect sudden collision impacts, at least one Tilt Sensor (202) configured to detect abnormal vehicle inclination or rollover conditions, and a Microcontroller (203) configured to continuously process the sensor data and verify accident conditions using a dual-sensor verification mechanism. Upon confirmation of an accident, the Microcontroller (203) activates a Buzzer (206) and initiates a predetermined verification countdown, during which a Cancel Button (207) enables the driver or passenger to cancel false emergency alerts. If no cancellation is received, the GPS Module (204) acquires the real-time vehicle location from one or more GPS Satellites (210), and the GSM Module (205) transmits an emergency SMS containing accident information, GPS coordinates, and a navigation link to one or more predefined Emergency Contacts (209) through the GSM Network (211). A regulated Power Supply (208) provides operating power to all system components. The proposed invention provides rapid accident detection, reduced false alarms through dual-sensor verification and user confirmation, automatic location tracking, and timely emergency communication, thereby reducing emergency response time and improving vehicle occupant safety.
