Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-based multipurpose robotic trolley designed for autonomous material handling and delivery applications in hospitals, laboratories, industries, and institutional environments. The system is powered by an ESP32 microcontroller that coordinates navigation, communication, and safety operations. Infrared sensors enable accurate linefollowing along predefined paths, ensuring reliable movement in structured environments. An ultrasonic sensor is integrated to detect obstacles up to a predetermined distance, causing the trolley to stop automatically at a safe proximity to prevent collisions. The robotic trolley is WiFienabled, allowing remote monitoring and control through a mobile application, thereby supporting Industry 4.0 and contactless service requirements. The trolley includes multiple compartments for carrying solid materials and is capable of handling loads up to 20 kg. By minimizing human intervention, the invention enhances operational efficiency, reduces labor dependency, and improves safety, making it a practical and cost-effective solution for modern automated logistics systems.
