Abstract: The present invention discloses an IoT-based smart irrigation system with machine learning and predictive control, comprising a sensor module (100) configured to collect real-time environmental and soil parameters, an IoT gateway (200) for data aggregation and transmission, an edge processor (300) for local processing, and a cloud server (400) integrated with a machine learning engine (500) for predictive analysis of irrigation requirements. An irrigation controller (600) operatively controls a pump/valve system (700) to deliver water based on predicted schedules, while a user interface (800) enables monitoring and control. The system provides a multi- layered architecture enabling autonomous irrigation through real-time sensing, predictive modeling, and closed-loop feedback. The invention reduces water consumption, improves crop yield, minimizes latency through edge computing, and ensures reliable operation across diverse agricultural environments, thereby providing a technically advanced solution for precision irrigation.
