Abstract: ABSTRACT AN IOT-BASED SMART LPG CYLINDER MONITORING SYSTEM WITH MQTT PROTOCOL AND REAL-TIME WEB DASHBOARD The present invention relates to an Internet of Things (IoT) based smart Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinder monitoring system (100) that improves safety, convenience, and operational efficiency. The system (100) comprises a microcontroller unit (110), a gas sensor module (120) for combustible gas detection, and a pressure and temperature sensor module (130) for monitoring cylinder conditions. Sensor readings are transmitted in real-time using the Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol to a cloud platform through a wireless communication module (140) and MQTT broker (150). A web dashboard (160) built using React and Vite subscribes to MQTT data streams providing real-time updates of gas levels, temperature, leakage alarms, and cylinder status accessible remotely. An automated booking logic module (170) initiates refill orders when gas pressure falls below 5% threshold, eliminating shortages and minimizing manual intervention. The compact, energy-efficient hardware enables easy mounting on LPG cylinders without infrastructure modification. [
