The application for the patent was published on August 21, 2026, under issue no. 34/2026.
Abstract: An IoT-based system (100) for real-time monitoring and closed-loop control of indoor air quality in an enclosed space comprises a controller module (110) having a sensor array (120) of a particulate matter sensor, a VOC sensor, an NDIR CO2 sensor and a relative humidity and temperature sensor interfaced to a Wi-Fi enabled microcontroller (130). The microcontroller periodically acquires the sensor readings, computes an air quality index, and compares each parameter against configurable threshold bands. Upon threshold breach, ON/OFF commands are transmitted over Wi-Fi to smart switching relays controlling an indoor recirculating air purification unit (170) treating particulates and VOCs, an outdoor-air intake purification unit (180) delivering filtered outdoor air to dilute CO2, and optionally a humidifier (190) and a seasonal room heater (195), the humidifier compensating heater-induced drying. Each purification unit comprises a pre-filter, a HEPA class H13+ filter and an activated carbon layer. Demand-based switching prolongs filter lifespan.
