Abstract: The present invention relates to an IoT-enabled safety and support system for solo female travellers comprising a wearable device, a mobile application, a cloud platform, and an interface with smart city infrastructure. The wearable device, comprising skin-based sensors and adapted as a headband or neck-worn apparatus, monitors biometric and environmental conditions and generates location data. The mobile application performs risk assessment, provides route guidance, and offers an emergency preparedness dashboard. The cloud platform aggregates data and generates predictive alerts based on crime rates, population density, and time-based patterns. The system suggests safer routes using real-time inputs, lighting conditions, crowd density, and the presence of authorities. It further enables real-time location sharing, transmission of audio data during emergencies, and discreet emergency communication through non-verbal input, thereby enhancing safety and situational awareness based on geographic, temporal, and sociocultural factors.
