The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pH-responsive ophthalmic pharmaceutical composition comprising a Luteolin–Tyrosine (LT) hybrid incorporated into solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) and dispersed in an in-situ gelling system comprising Carbopol 940 and hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. The LT hybrid is configured for VEGFR- 2-targeted anti-angiogenic activity. The optimised LT-loaded SLNs have a particle size of about 170.60 nm and an entrapment efficiency of about 70.8%. The ophthalmic composition undergoes sol-to-gel transition within about 20 seconds upon exposure to simulated tear fluid and provides sustained corneal permeation of the LT hybrid for about 360 minutes. The composition thereby combines LT hybrid delivery, nanoparticulate encapsulation, pH-responsive gelation and sustained ocular permeation in an integrated topical ocular delivery system, particularly for VEGFR-2-mediated pathological angiogenesis associated with diabetic retinopathy.
