Abstract: The present invention relates to an optimized push button latch designed for securing enclosures, such as distribution boxes and power distribution boards. The latch comprises a D-shaped housing (51) with walls defining three sides (15, 20, 19) and an open end (16), a slanting push button (6) with an arm (107) that extends into the housing, and a slider (65) with an angle slot (65) and boundaries (90) that limit the push button's lateral movement. The slider is positioned between the frame and a base (50), with a pawl (110) extending outward from the base through a channel (109). A spring (7) biases the slider outward, ensuring secure engagement. The latch features stabilizers for enhanced stability, minimal parts for reduced complexity, and is designed to withstand impacts of up to 10J. The user-friendly contour of the push button allows for easy operation, making the latch reliable and efficient for various applications.
